The why.
Growing up on the coast of Australia, the ocean was our playground. Days were spent surfing, diving, and exploring untouched stretches of beach — a front-row seat to nature at its most raw and beautiful. But over time, we saw the shoreline change. Single-use plastics and disposable waste began washing up in greater numbers, a visible reminder of how everyday products were leaving a lasting scar on the environment.
After nearly two decades in global trade, import/export, and manufacturing, we had seen first-hand how disposable gloves — used across countless industries — contributed to this problem. The industry relied almost entirely on non-biodegradable gloves that take centuries to break down, or worse, were incinerated, releasing toxins into the air.
We knew there had to be a better way.
